Seasons

Similar to a season of a show, we use Seasons to group our Campfires (our live storytelling events). Each Season, Season Questions guide the stories we tell and you get to have a say. Season Questions are the big "I wonders..." that we all share.

Season Questions

Every few months, the Campfire community takes part in a Season guided by a Season Question

Audience members reflecting on the season question

Campfire Fellows create three questions for the larger Campfire audience to vote on. The top question becomes what we call our “Season Question,” which becomes the focus of that Season’s stories.

Season Questions are open-ended questions that are intended to facilitate self-discovery and reflection. They serve as the guiding theme to a Campfire Season and provide a framework for the discussion and stories at Campfires.

How we run Seasons has changed over time, but in the current Fellows Program, two Fellows are paired for a Season, and both answer a single Season Question. At their individual Campfires, they share wisdom about what they’ve discovered through the Season Question through reflection, discussion – and yes, storytelling.

Overview of our past seasons

From the most recent to the least recent. Our first event in 2015 was called Sunday Story, our first Campfire was June 18, 2016, and our first fellows’ campfire with a shared season question was October 25, 2017 (season 5).
